There are 2 ways we can ship your birds.  Both methods require the temperature to be between 45 degrees and 85 degrees on both the shipping and the receiving end of the shipment.

The first way is airport to airport.  This is our preferred method of shipping.  We ship from Ontario, CA or Portland, OR directly to your closest airport.  We arrange ahead of time a mutually acceptable day and arrival time and make a booking on one of the airlines we use.  A tracking number is emailed a day before the flight to you.  On the day of the flight you track the status of your birds with the tracking number on the airlines website and then go to the Cargo facility of that airline carrier and get your birds.

We use Alaska Airlines, Horizon Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines,  and United Airlines for shipping this way.

You can track the status of the flight through the airline using the links below:

We only guarantee live arrival of the birds if you ship airport to airport.

Shipping this method generally costs $120 for the airline fees plus a box fee of $10-$40 depending on how many birds are ordered.

In the unlikely event there are any DOA's you must notify the airline BEFORE leaving the airport with the birds.  They will note on the airbill if there are any problems that you bring to their attention such as a dead bird or a crushed box.  Leaving the airport is acceptance and responsibility of the birds.  They will not make late claims for you.  Please be aware of this.

The second method of shipping is USPS.  Similarly you receive a tracking number and the birds are delivered to your front door.  The problem with this shipping method is the package is handled many times by multiple persons.  Because of this we can't guarantee live arrival of your birds. You must take the risk of live arrival with this shipping method.  Our results have been very good, but there are times that they do not get delivered until a day late etc. Shipments can be tracked at:

This shipping method is cheaper costing $10 for the box fee and about $40 to most locations for the USPS shipping fee for the 48 continental states. We can ship up to 10 Gouldians or Owl Finches per box.

In either case if you would like a Health Certificate with your birds we can get them for you.  They cost $55 for the shipment.  Some airlines will require this before they ship, but most do not.

Thank You,
