TETRATEX is a broad spectrum
antibiotic used for the treatment of chlamydial and other intestinal or
respiratory bacterial infections in birds.
SYMPTOMS OF BACTERIAL INFECTIONS:
Obvious change in behavior or appearance
Ruffled or fluffed feathers
Diarrhea
Sneezing
Unusual or difficult breathing
Not eating
Closed eyes
Sitting low on perch
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Enclosed scoop holds one level teaspoon. Add one level tsp. of TETRATEX to
8 fl. oz. of clean drinking water for small birds (i.e. Parakeet) OR add
two level tsp.of TETRATEX to 8 fl. oz. of clean drinking water for large
birds (i.e. Mynah). Use as bird’s only source of drinking water. Use fresh
solution every day for five days. If bird does not respond to treatment or
if bird’s condition worsens, consult a veterinarian. Keep stock solution
covered in a dark refrigerator and discard after five days. Keep container
closed before and after use. Store in a cool, dry place.
PRECAUTIONS:
Keep out of reach of children. Not for use in birds whose meat or eggs are
intended for human consumption.

Tetracycline Hydrochloride
250mg/level teaspoon
WARNING:
Discontinue using any product containing calcium or iron while
administering TETRATEX.
To reduce the development of
drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of TETRATEX and
other antibacterial drugs, TRETRATEX should only be used to treat or
prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by
bacteria.
