First, I like to start by knowing my birds are healthy.  This requires worming them
and then a mite treatment.  I use Worm Away in their water for 2 days.  If they have
a bad infestation of tapeworms you will see it in their feces and you will have to
repeat the process again in 10 days.  A fecal smear is the best way to know if they
     have tapes or other worms.

At this point the stool should be firm.  If it is not then I would do a fecal myself or
take a dropping from a bird to the vet and see what the problem is.  It could be a
number of other parasites or oocysts such as Coccidiosis or Giardia.

If    you have blood in the stool you should get a fecal done ASAP.  This is generally
     an indication of Coccidiosis.

Then I use the Pestex to get rid of any mites they have.  This can be a big problem
for younger birds.  You need to keep them free from mites.  Pestex is a one-week
treatment.  You administer it once wait a few days then do it again.

Now I start with feeding the supplements to them.  I add sparkle and also add
Calcium Plus to the water.  Looking at the product interaction chart you will see it
is safe to combine Sparkle and Calcium Plus in the water.  I generally only use the
Sparkle 3-4 times per week, but always have the Calcium Plus in the water.

It is important to give fresh water daily and add the supplements into the water.
You do not have to fill their water bottle full every time.
